The retreat is a full day of mindfulness practice held in silence under the guidance of the Simply Mindful teachers.
Take time out to deepen your practice and refresh body, heart and mind. This is a wonderful way to connect with and support each other and ourselves whilst taking care of our health and community.
Mindfulness practice can help reduce stress, connect us with a strong calm presence and enable us to act skilfully, cooperatively and compassionately. Practicing as a community will help us all to stay sane, stay connected and remind us of our shared humanity.
Please note that you must either be a current student or a graduate of a Simply Mindful 8 week MBSR program in order to attend the all day retreat. If you have completed an MBSR course with a recognised and reputable teacher elsewhere, we may also accept your registration. In this case, please email or phone us before you register.
Lunch and Refreshments
Due to COVID related health and hygiene measures we regret that we won’t be providing or sharing food on this retreat.
Please bring your own lunch, refreshments, a mug and water bottle. There will be tea, coffee and hot water and a range of milks available for morning tea.
In order to minimise hygiene risks we are avoiding and reducing sharing of utensils, crockery and avoiding the need for washing up as much as possible.
A note about fees:
Current MBSR course students do not need to register or pay. If you are not currently enrolled in an MBSR course we would appreciate it if you could pay the standard fee. If you are experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19 or the bushfires we are happy to offer a reduced price, please see the 2nd option below. If the reduced fee is unaffordable please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what you can afford to pay.
This retreat is also an opportunity to support others who are financially affected by COVID-19. All fees will be used to help people in financial difficulty participate in Simply Mindful programs.
The retreat is being offered both face to face and online. When you register you will receive an email with a link to the online retreat and tips on how to connect. We will also send you a reminder email a few days before the retreat with the link.
