Graduate Practice Group | Starts Monday February 1, 2021



Join us in this 8 week practice group to extend, enrich and deepen your practice. This in depth extended group practice will be led by two wonderful teachers Anthony Hopkins and Jenny Holmes. Anthony will lead guided practices exploring use of noting and deepening concentration, clarity and equanimity. Jenny will lead guided mindful movement and yoga practices. Mindful Yoga – Term 1 2021 | online option available – Starts Feb 9 2021


In Term 1 we are offering Mindful Yoga both online and face to face. We are offering a free class for anyone wishing to find out more about mindful yoga on February 3, 2021. The first class of the paid program begins on February 9, 2021.

Positive Neuroplasticity starts Feb 11th 2021 – 6 weeks – face to face


In this exciting course you’ll build on your existing understanding of mindfulness and the skills which underpin mindfulness. You will learn how to turn fleeting everyday experiences into lasting inner strengths. This can help to reduce the influence of the negative bias, reduce negative emotional reactivity and recover more quickly from setbacks and difficulties.

Each session will include experiential learning, exploration of key concepts and skills and the opportunity to practice and apply new practices. There will be a course book to help guide you through the course and home practices each week.

Simply Mindful Director, Megan Layton will be teaching PNT. She has been endorsed and trained by Dr Rick Hanson. She has been helping people integrate positive neuroplasticity into their lives and their practice for many years.

We highly recommend you purchase Rick Hanson’s book Hardwiring Happiness as part of the course.
Pre-requisite: It is a pre-requisite to have undertaken training and practice in mindfulness. This is to ensure participants have the necessary foundation of understanding and skills to benefit fully from this program and be able to apply it. MBSR is the recommended pre-requisite program however other reputable in-depth mindfulness programs may be considered.

This 4 week program will focus on cultivating mindfulness and self-compassion together.

The science around self-compassion is very compelling. Self-compassion is a powerful tool for healing our relationship with our selves, parts of us that are fractured or wounded. It helps us to feel more at home in our own skin, safer, more supported more connected.  The inner resource of self-compassion is particularly helpful when facing difficulties and the pressures and strains of life. The more connected and present we are, the more energy we have for fully engaging in our lives. It leads to calm, reduces inner tension and conflict and helps us feel both cared about the caring. This naturally flows into our relationships with others and the rest of our lives.
