Join a Simply Mindful teacher every Wednesday morning over December and January for a half hour live practice group online.

These practice sessions are open to beginners as well as those who have completed the MBSR course. They will be mostly silent, with a short introduction and some guidance.

This special holiday season group will be facilitated by Trevor, Anthony, Jenny Holmes or Jennifer Sexton, depending on the day. You may attend all, some or even just one of the sessions – you only need to register once.

These practice sessions are open to beginning meditators as well as those who have completed the MBSR course. They will be mostly silent, with a short introduction and some guidance.

This group is facilitated by Trevor or one of our Simply Mindful teachers. You may attend all, some or even just one of the sessions – you only need to register once.

UpcomingGraduate Practice Group | Starts Sunday February 13, 2022


In this gathering you can extend your mindfulness practice in a group setting as part of the Simply Mindful community.

Whether you’ve recently completed your MBSR course, would like to bring attention back to your mindfulness and meditation practice in a supportive environment; or would like to continue to deepen your practice, Simply Mindful would love to support you in this. Our Mindfulness Graduate Practice Group will meet for 6 Sunday evenings this term.

Our teachers lead the group, providing an opportunity to participate in a range of practices. These include led meditation practices, silent meditation, walking meditation, mindful yoga, and at times short discussions about aspects of meditation. This term’s practice group will be led by Jenny Holmes.

You may choose to attend face-to-face at the Gathering Place, or online through Zoom.

UpcomingSilent Practice Session


You are invited to join the Simply Mindful community for an extended period of collective silent practice. Unlike our silent retreats, this practice is not guided. One of our Simply Mindful teachers, Anthony, will hold space for the group.

Whether you’ve recently completed your MBSR course, would like to bring attention back to your mindfulness and meditation practice in a supportive environment, or would like to continue to deepen your practice, Simply Mindful would love to support you in this. If you have any questions about whether this session is suitable for you, please contact us.

Session format:

  • Short welcome and introduction. Bell is sounded to mark the beginning of practice.
  • 3  silent sitting periods with short (10 minute) movement practices in between. The invitation is for you to transition to movement (walking or yoga practice) or change positions during the short break periods, and to maintain stillness during the sitting periods.
  • Bell is sounded to mark the end of practice.
  • There is a short period for discussion and sharing after the end of the practices.
