This is a 4-week online mindfulness course, meeting once a week for 1 hour. It’s a bite-sized mini-course packed full of practical exercises you can use on the go, as well as a good dash of science and lots of practice.
What is mindfulness, how does it work and why does it work? How can I use it in my life to improve health and mental health and reduce stress?
This is a great place to start if you’ve been wanting to try out mindfulness. It’s a bite sized program packed full of practical exercises you can use on the go, as well as a good dash of science and lots of practice.
Participants will receive a discount for the Term 1 or Term 2 2026 MBSR program.
If you've already done the MBSR course, we recommend you join the Summer Meditation Challenge or one of our Term 1 programs instead.

Please note that these sessions will NOT be recorded, as real-time interaction is a crucial part of the program.
How to access your online sessions:
After you register and pay you will receive a Zoom link a few days prior to the first session. It will be exactly the same link each week. Please arrive online a few minutes early and keep in mind that the sessions will not be recorded (although you will receive audio recordings of the weekly exercises to use at home).
Course schedule:
Session 1 : Mindfulness to reduce stress and anxiety
- Understand what mindfulness is and how it works
- Learn about stress and the human nervous system
- Practice some quick ways to help yourself pause and de-stress
Session 2: Mindfulness anytime anywhere
- Learn ways of using mindfulness when you’re busy
- Help yourself to calm in a crisis
- Short exercises to use on the go
Session 3: Mindfulness for keeping your cool
- Learn to understand and work with strong emotions , especially when the going gets tough
- Learn to respond rather than react
- Exercises for working with and settling strong emotions
Session 4: Mindfulness to help you recharge
- Learn how mindfulness can help you with sleep
- Try some calming techniques to help you relax
- How to recharge for brief moments during your day
