Senior MBSR teacher
Leonie was first a participant in the MBSR program in 2004 at a time when she needed to learn how to reduce stress in her life after a diagnosis of advanced breast cancer.
Attending the program deeply transformed the way she lives, works and manages stress. She has had a regular mindfulness meditation practice since 2004. After several years Leonie trained as an MBSR teacher through the Center for Mindfulness (CFM), University of Massachusetts. She continues developing her teaching skills through ongoing training with the CFM.
Leonie teaches the MBSR program and leads meditation practice groups for experienced meditators. Teaching from her personal experience of the power of the MBSR program she loves sharing this program and mindfulness mediation with others.
Leonie is married, the mum of two grown children, a grandmother to two, practiced as a lawyer for over 30 years, loves gardening, is an aspiring textile artist, an amazing cook, and is frequently seen trying for her personal best walk up Mt Ainslie.
