Day of Mindfulness Retreat – 2024 Term 3

This is a day-long meditation retreat, lasting 7 hours.

Participation in the MBSR program or equivalent is a pre-requisite for retreats. This is because we take our duty of care to participants seriously. We want retreats to be appropriate and beneficial for each person and try to provide adequate support.

The retreat is a full day of mindfulness practice held in silence under the guidance of the Simply Mindful teachers.

Take time out to deepen your practice and refresh body, heart and mind. This is a wonderful way to slow down, care for yourself and deepen your practice in a nurturing environment with skillful guidance.

Mindfulness practice can help reduce stress, connect us with a strong calm presence and enable us to act skilfully, cooperatively and compassionately. Practicing as a community is extremely supportive and beneficial. It tends to encourage us, enhance present moment awareness and helps us to experience a gentle connectedness which reminds us of our shared humanity.

Please note that you must either be a current student or a graduate of a Simply Mindful 8 week MBSR program in order to attend the all day retreat. If you have completed an MBSR course with a recognised and reputable teacher elsewhere, we may also accept your registration. In this case, please email or phone us before you register.

Please bring everything you need including your own lunch and water bottle. There will be fruit, tea, coffee and hot water and a range of milks available for morning tea.

A note about fees

Current MBSR course students do not need to register or pay. If you are not currently enrolled in an MBSR course you will pay the standard fee. If you are a full-time student, pensioner or health care card holder we are happy to offer a reduced price—please contact us.

This retreat is also an opportunity to support others who are experiencing financial hardship. All fees will be used to help people in financial difficulty participate in Simply Mindful programs.
