Reimagining Menopause Half Day Retreat:
Nourishment, balance and wholeness through big changes

A space for parts of you that are tired to rest
A space for parts of you that need care or understanding to be expressed, listened to and met with compassion

Peri-menopause and menopause can be a disorienting and challenging journey through huge changes in roles, physical energy, emotions, identity, relationships, work and purpose in life. Rather than just enduring it, how do we embrace, lean into, grow and shine?

This retreat creates a space to you to explore in your unique journey, ways of nourishing your mind, body, life and spirit. Through this collective container, feel supported and bring more balance, ease and purpose into this stage of life.

Retreat Program

  • Focus on nourishing, drawing energy back in so that the energy you give out increasingly comes from a place of balance and wholeness.
  • We’ll begin with gentle guided nurturing yoga and meditation practices to facilitate settling and deep rest
  • Brief input and insights from facilitators
  • Individual reflection and creative expression to allow space for connecting with yourself and your journey and self-care
  • We will finish with some collective sharing and listening

Notes

  • This is not a strictly silent retreat, however there will be quietness and space for you to be with yourself, times of individual guided reflection and creative expression, guided practices and times for sharing.
You are encouraged to do just what feels right for you, everything is optional.

Your facilitators

Megan Layton and Jennifer Sexton
Two fabulous peri-/menopausal women will lead you on this retreat.
They have very different journeys and a shared understanding of the challenges, opportunities and wisdom available to help us all through this significant life stage. Challenged by the symptoms, they have each done their own deep dives into the contemporary and ancient wisdom and resources available to help us understand, navigate and grow through menopause.

What to bring

  • Bring your meditation and yoga gear if you have some (yoga mat, blanket, cushion or pillow, meditation stool).
  • Wear comfortable layered clothing that allows for free movement and breathing
  • A journal and pen
  • If you have a current form of creative expression you’d like to use, feel free to bring that along with you also

We will provide:

  • Morning tea, including delicious food, milks and a range of teas/coffee

Comfortable chairs and spare meditation and yoga gear
